The Huskies welcome the Golden Eagles to Storrs with third place in the Big East on the line.

…and some matchup stats to take us home. The Huskies have an edge in most key offensive metrics, while Marquette has some notable advantages defensively in forcing turnovers, keeping opponents off the free-throw line, and fouling.

UConn’s rebounding needs to come through tonight for the Huskies to maintain possession against a Marquette team that will be looking to slow them down and frustrate them with the press. The Golden Eagles forced 25 UConn turnovers in the first meeting between these two teams. The Huskies held on thanks to a hot shooting start and held on for the win despite being outscored in the second half.
