Rapid Recap: UConn rocks DePaul, again

The Huskies had far too much firepower for this downtrodden opponent.

UConn was firing on all cylinders once again as the Huskies dominated DePaul at Wintrust Arena, 101-65, for their 13th straight victory.

Six different Huskies scored in double figures, led by an efficient 21 from Alex Karaban. Jaylin Stewart made the most of his 15 minutes, dropping a season-high 11 points. It was one of the Huskies’ best shooting nights of the season and they dominated the boards, led by eight from Tristen Newton.

UConn (23-2, 13-1 Big East) now turns its attention to Saturday’s marquee matchup against No. 4 Marquette. The game will be televised on FOX at 3 p.m. from the XL Center in Hartford.

The Golden Eagles just beat Butler on Tuesday night, 78-72, and have won eight in a row. They’re ranked 11th in KenPom (22nd Offense, 13th Defense), which projects a 76-69 victory for the Huskies (3rd Overall, 3rd Offense, 18th Defense).
